CRB Seeks CSUSA Members to Offer Pro Bono Representation to Pro Se Claimants

From time to time the Copyright Royalty Board ("CRB") receives copyright royalty claims (primarily DART) or other requests for copyright-related assistance from pro se claimants, many of whom do not have the resources to retain private counsel.

The staff of the CRB is not authorized to provide legal advice or representation to these claimants and has asked the Copyright Society to publicize this request for pro bono assistance, to see whether any members or their firms would be interested in offering ad hoc pro bono representation to pro se copyright claimants.

Any firm willing to offer such representation should email Richard Strasser, the CRB's Senior Attorney, at rstr@loc.gov.
