RUDOLF LEšKA of Praha, Czech Republic has been elected president of the Czech national group of Association littéraire et artistique internationale (ALAI), an international learned society dedicated to studying copyright issues.
 
MICHAEL GRAHAM After 27 years with two of Chicago's largest IP boutiques--Willian Brinks Olds Hofer Gilson & Lione and Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP--CSUSA Member Michael Graham has established a new intellectual property, entertainment, internet and social media law firm, Gnosis IP Law, P.C. in Winnetka, Illinois. Gnosis will provide a broad range of trademark, copyright, internet and domain name, and social media law services to companies, organizations and individuals.  Gnosis will also be offering services in the areas of arts, entertainment, photography, publishing and music law to creators and content owners.Fundamental to Gnosis IP Law will be offering seasoned counseling and legal services on a more personal level and with a range of communications and reduced-fee billing options tailored to the individual client. Michael  has also taken a position as Adjunct Professor, supervising DePaul University College of Law's Technology & Intellectual Property Clinic.
 
ELISSA D. HECKER of the New York Chapter has been selected a Super Lawyer Rising Star again. ANDREW BERGER of the New York Chapter has been appointed chair of the governing board of the Intellectual Property Institute (IPI). The IPI is comprised of IP practitioners from across the country who are also fellows of the Litigation Counsel of America, the trial lawyers’ honorary society. The purpose of the IPI is to foster a nationwide but limited network of highly skilled and experienced intellectual property attorneys to engage in peer-to-peer professional development in ways that uniquely assist its members, enhance skills directly related to the trial of intellectual property cases and serve as an established network and referral source for IP attorneys.
