Kernochan Center Symposium: Creation Is Not Its Own Reward

Columbia Law School's Kernochan Center for Law, Media and the Arts is holding a symposium, "Creation Is Not Its Own Reward: Making Copyright Work for Authors and Performers," on October 10, 2014.

The symposium "will look at the ongoing review of the Copyright Act, with a focus on the concerns of professional authors, artists and performers."  It will "consider what changes to law and practice would benefit authors and encourage creativity."

The agenda includes Copyright Society members June Besek, Eugene Mopsik, Lisa Shaftel, Maria Pallante, Shira Perlmutter, Sandra Aistars, Pippa Loengard, Joseph Gratz, Jay Rosenthal, Jane Ginsburg and Eva Subotnik.
