The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) is seeking a litigation and business affairs attorney with at least 3-7 years experience based in or willing to move to Washington, D.C.
Ideal candidates will have strong academic credentials and significant experience at a law firm or entertainment/music company or association. Experience in copyright and intellectual property, including with copyright litigation, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and negotiating and drafting licenses, is a plus.
This interactive environment requires candidates to possess strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent writing abilities to communicate effectively with NMPA’s members, governmental bodies, music publishing licensees and outside counsel. Candidates will be required to handle multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate exceptional analytical and advocacy skills, and exhibit a high level of confidence and maturity. This role reports directly to the NMPA’s General Counsel. A competitive compensation and benefit package is being offered.
